Mabuhay! My name is Gwyn Candelaza and I was born and raised in the Philippines. Im a multipotentialite artist based in Kankakee, 1hr south of Chicago. Experimented with almost every medium that peaked my interest such as building contraptions, prop making, welding, sculpting clay/paper mache, digital/canvas illustration. A Jack of all Trades is a master of none.
Tattoo/Batok or to Mark/Tatak skin is a sacred form of art that lasts for a lifetime. I aim to showcase elements of my culture while incorporating my own style, and hobbies, specializing in black and grey with vibrant accent colors. Filipino tattoo history goes back thousands years, tattoos symbolized as badges of honor, and for beauty. Ancient Filipinos were called “PINTADOS” which means ‘The Painted Ones’ ANG LUPIT NUN DIBA?!
For the last 2 years, I have been working within the C*nn*bis Industry in Illinois, and was inspired to innovate something special when it comes to rolling flower. Then my ‘all paper cannon filters’ was born and it rolls a perfect eight, and are great for h*sh-holes. I couldn’t be more grateful when the community showed SO MUCH love, and support:’)
I have moved on from the dispensary as an AIC to pursue my art FULL TIME. Would love to continue to create more of these pretty tokes!! soon you can have my art on your wall, or wear my art forever<3 whAaAt???
